Abstract


Campus with all its dynamics, requires students to comply with all campus rules and obligations, one of which is learning and participating in academic and non-academic activities on campus. While studying on campus. Students must work on and complete the assignment given by the lecturer in accordance with the assignment format with a predetermined time period. All assignments that lecturers have given to students must be done and completed in a timely manner. If students have difficulty doing something according to a predetermined time limit, often experience delays, preparing something very excessive then it can be said as individuals who carry out academic procrastination. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach based on an emic perspective with a case study design. From the results of research on academic procrastination behavior of Islamic Guidance and Counseling Students (BKI) of the Da'wah Faculty, IAIN Jember 2016, the following conclusions can be drawn: there are four academic procrastination behaviors of Islamic Guidance and Counseling Students (BKI) of the Dawah Faculty of IAIN Jember 2016 (1) waiting for the results work friends (2) delays in collecting assignments, (3) irrational believe is a belief can do it later or weak in time regulation and, (4) does not match the lecturer.
